We display customer reviews on our product pages. In line with Section 5b (3) of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG), this page explains where these reviews come from and whether and how we ensure that they originate from consumers who have actually purchased or used our products.
Where our reviews come from
Reviews reach us in three ways:
- Order-bound review link: Customers who gave their consent at checkout receive a single e-mail with a personal review link after their order has arrived. The link is tied to the specific order — only someone who actually ordered from us can submit a review this way.
- Personally collected reviews: Some reviews were collected in direct, personal contact with customers — with documented consent to publication.
- Personal invitation links: Customers who bought from us before this shop launched can receive a single-use personal review link on request. We only send such links individually and with prior consent.
How we ensure authenticity
Reviews labelled "Verified purchase" are those whose purchase we can prove — either because the review was submitted via the order-bound link, or because we have verified and documented the purchase using our invoice records. Reviews without this label also come from people we personally know to be customers; however, no technical purchase verification has taken place for them.
Moderation and publication
- Every review is checked by us before publication.
- Published texts are reproduced verbatim — we do not shorten or edit them.
- We publish reviews regardless of the star rating. Negative reviews are not suppressed; we only decline content that is unrelated to the product or contains unlawful material.
- We do not offer any incentives for reviews.
- Names are published as first name with abbreviated surname (e.g. "Max M.") or anonymously on request.
- English versions of German-language reviews are translations and are labelled as such.
